iXengineers (PTY) LTD were appointed by the South African National Roads Agency SOC Ltd (SANRAL) ROAD SAFETY AUDIT FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE COMMERCIAL ROAD INTERCHANGE ON NATIONAL ROUTE N2 SECTION 11 KM 30.0 TO KM 33.0 AND THE R75 SECTION 1 AND THE PROVISION OF A PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE ON THE NATIONAL ROUTE R75 SECTION 1 KM 0.0 TO KM 13.0. The project falls within the Eastern Cape Province, within the Sarah Baartman District Municipality and within the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality[A1] [A2] [A3] with Ggeberha (the former Port Elizabeth) being the main centre.
The aim of this project is to relieve congestion to acceptable levels of service, improve road safety, and adequate pavement capacity for the design period.
New Facilities: Additional capacity is required that may take the form of upgrading the existing road and the construction of new grade-separated road over rail bridge. A Road Safety Audit is required.[A4]
Firms with road safety and traffic engineering experience are therefore invited to submit a quote to undertake an independent Road Safety Audit. A clarification meeting will not be held, but it is essential that prospective tenderers familiarise themselves with the site.

Tenderers must submit, via email, the duly completed Form A1.1: Certificate of Intention to Submit a Tender prior to 21 February 2025. Failure to submit this certificate would result in the tenderer not receiving addenda or additional issued information and may result in the tenderer being non-responsive, if “any material amendment/s” contained in the addenda or additional information is not included in the tender offer/submission.

The closing time and date for submission of quotations is 11h00 on 28 March 2025
Only quotation offers submitted electronically on CD / flash drive and delivered to the address specified in the Tender Data will be accepted.
