SUB-CONTRACTS FOR THE UPGRADING OF NATIONAL ROUTE R63 SECTION 16 FROM KM21.7 TO THE N2 PAST KOMGA (KM43.64)

TENDER NOTICE

CLOSING DATE: Thursday, 20th March 2025 AT 12:00

H&I CONSTRUCTION (PTY) LTD invites experienced EME and QSE Sub-Contractors to express intension to tender for Contract NRA-R.063-160-2016/1 for
THE UPGRADING OF NATIONAL ROUTE R63 SECTION 16 FROM KM21.7 TO THE N2 PAST KOMGA (KM43.64) on behalf of the South African National
Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL). This project is in the province of the Eastern Cape and in the district municipalities of Great Kei Local Municipality and
Amatole District.

Preferences are offered to prospective tenderers from the targeted area, namely the Amathole District and Great Kei Municipality, as well as the CIDB grades
and classes indicated for each sub-contract package. This tender will be evaluated in terms of functionality as a criterion and the price and preference points
system. Tenderers who satisfy the following criteria are eligible to submit tenders:

a) B-BBEE Level 1 or 2 contributor.
b) Exempted Micro Enterprise (EME) or Qualifying Small Enterprise (QSE).
c) Registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD).
d) Registered as “active” with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) in the relevant contractor grade and class designation.

An award will only be made to preferred Tenderers that are:

a) Compliant with the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COID); and
b) Tax Compliant.

Sub-contractors are required for the following subcontract packages:

• Package B16 – Alien Vegetation Removal (1CE) x 1

Note to Tenderers:

a) H&I CONSTRUCTION (PTY) LTD will reserve the right to negotiate feasible rates with the preferred tenderers if necessary.
b) Enterprises with members/shareholders/directors who are on the PLC committee are not eligible to tender.

A compulsory tender clarification briefing and training session with representatives of the Contractor and Engineer will take place at the H&I Komga Site Office,
next to the R63 and across from the Draaibosch village on 6th of March 2025 at 10h00.

A tenderer’s representative cannot represent more than one tenderer at the clarification briefing session

Tender documents will be sent via email to the Tenderers who attended the clarification briefing session. Only the documents within the folder
named “Returnable Document” must be printed, bound and completed with all the relevant supporting documents attached.

Tenders from tenderers who arrived late at the clarification briefing session will not be allowed, and their submissions shall be declared nonresponsive.

The tender and supporting documents shall be sealed in an envelope and clearly marked:

“Sub-Contract NRA-R.063-160-2016/1 for the B16 – Alien Vegetation Removal” shall be delivered by hand to H&I Construction’s site offices located at the
H&I Komga Site Office, next to the R63 and across from the Draaibosch village.

The Tender Documentation for all packages in this Tender Notice shall reach the stipulated address no later than 12h00 on Thursday, the 20th of
March 2025.
