TENDER NOTICE

 

CLOSING DATE: Friday, 04 April 2025 AT 12h00

 

ROADMACSURFACING invites experienced EME and QSE sub-contractors to submit a bid for sub-contracting work on the main Contract N.008-060-2021/1 for the PERIODIC MAINTENANCE ON NATIONAL ROUTE 8 SECTION 6 FROM ROOISAND (KM 8.17) TO WATERFORD (KM 45.00). This project is in the province of the Northern Cape and in the district municipality of Pixley ka Seme and the local municipality of Siyancuma.

 

 

Preferences are offered to prospective tenderers from the targeted area, namely the Northern Cape Province, as well as the CIDB grades and classes indicated for each sub-contract package.  This tender will be evaluated in terms of functionality as a criterion and the price and preference points system.  Tenderers who satisfy the following criteria are eligible to submit tenders:

 

1. B-BBEE Level.
2. Exempted Micro Enterprise (EME) or Qualifying Small Enterprise (QSE).
3. Registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD).
4. Registered as “active” with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) in the relevant contractor grade and class designation.

 

An award will only be made to preferred Tenderers that are:

 

1. Compliant with the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COID); and
2. Tax Compliant.

Note to Tenderers:

1. Roadmac Surfacing will reserve the right to negotiate feasible rates with the preferred tenderers if necessary.
2. Tenderers may submit tenders for all sub-contracts in this Tender Notice, but only 1 (one) subcontract will be let per preferred Tenderer at any one time for this project.

 

 

A NON-COMPULSORY tender clarification briefing will be held via MICROSOFT TEAMS Thursday, 20 March 2025 AT 11h00. Prospective tenderers must send a request for a link to the clarification briefing and training documents to the following address Piet.L@roadmacsurfacing.com.

 

Documents will also be available by means of email or loaded on a platform WETransfer. All the tender documents will be in PDF format.  Only the documents within the folder named “Returnable Document” must be printed, bound, and completed with all the relevant supporting documents attached. The tender and supporting documents shall be sealed in an envelope and clearly marked:

The Tender Documentation for all packages in this Tender Notice shall reach the stipulated address no later than 12h00 on Friday, 04 April 2025.
